Front passenger seat electrics?
« on: 16 June 2016, 07:15:49 »

Hi, I have a 2.6 CDX Omega on a 03 plate and the electrics on the passenger seat do not work so the only adjustments I can make is the rake ie. forwards or backwards.
I've looked under the seat and nothing appears either disconnected or broken, the heated seat works fine, it's just the lift / raise of the seat that isn't working.
If anyone has an idea of what it might be I would be very grateful.

There's a guide for that too :y

Basically, from outside the car, repeatedly press the button up and down. If it clonks, then persevere and it should free off. If it doesn't clonk, then you might need to pop the seat out to free it off...

Where are you? Might be someone nearby who can help ;)

At the end of the worm drive for the height adjuster, there is a nut (I think 13mm, but whatever socket fits) which you can wind and unwind manually until it frees off, then clean and lubricate the thread (WD40?) and it's job done. The reason for seizure usually is an accumulation of crud on the worm assembly.

:y never had to resort to getting stuck in as rocking the switch has always worked, but that looks straightforward enough...
