computer key board ?
« on: 20 July 2016, 14:44:03 »

I having had no computer training & not really having the knowledge on how to do things has led me to ask this. when wanting to put a degree symbol behind a number, is there a way of doing it other than writing degree. I cant see a small dot on the key- board that would represent a degree sign.

To get a degree symbol ° you press and hold the "alt" key .. just to the left of the space bar .. and while holding that type 0176 or 248 on the number pad to the right of the keyboard .. release the "alt" key and the symbol ° will appear .. :)

If you wish to know any other alt+ codes .. which can do many "other" characters .. have a look at this site ..

Didn't know about that. I've always used Alt + AltGr + 4  all at the same time

On word, I just go to the 'insert' tab, then symbols and they're all there. Loads of the buggers.
