I got a parking ticket today

I intended to visit a customer this morning out of town so I left my car in a 1hr zone.  Anyway the appointment cancelled and I forgot to move it for nearly 3 hours, so of course I got a ticket.

Why the smiley face then you may well ask......

The muppet that issued the ticket it mixed up my registration and issued the ticket to M9 MWP - and that's not my car - mine's M9 MPW.

So looks like I got away with it  :) ;D

I would give it a few weeks and see if you get a letter on your door mat. They do take a photo when they issue a ticket (well they do here) so that will have you reg on it. Sorry

Yes, al Council car parking officers take a photo, they will use this to confirm the reg number, time to pay up. ::)

Well if all council's take photo's then i would pay in the next week cos you then only have to pay half.

Well if all council's take photo's then i would pay in the next week cos you then only have to pay half.

Once you have the ticket, cant pay till you get it and I am sure he is not daft enough to walk in and volunteer, just in case... ;D

They also list your Tax disc number on the ticket but I've been surfing around and found a forum that advises:

It's a statute document - therefore unenforceable

When they check the car type/colour in order to match the reg and issue the chaser - they'll notice it's wrong and bin it.

Or they may trace it from the photo's/tax disc but a swift get lost matey letter from me and they'll have to drop it.

I got one before they started taking pics of everything........mine was the same........ they got the reg number wrong........so i just binned it and never heard anything else about it......nice to know that even if they do take pics and the reg number is wrong on ticket......they still carnt do anything about it  :y :y
