Having used similar before, just be aware that somethings the ones with the brushes make things worse.
Make things worse? How can it be worse than the unit not recognising any CD's inserted, let alone playing them?

In most cases, both CD Changers fitted to Omegas (CDC2 and CDC3) start to get fussy on discs and temperature, but other discs/temperatures are fine.
The brush based systems are a bit barbaric, and can easily damage the lens coating or even the carrier completely. The CDC3 (facelift) is particularly fragile.
Although in virtually 100% of all CDC3 changers not reading discs, its the focusing coils that are shot. Unless the car was owned by a heavy smoker, the CDC3 is not a particularly dusty envirnoment, and every single one I've taken apart that wasn't owned by a smoker (as these are really obvious) have been pretty tidy inside.
At best, a brush system can only ever really be useful in removing specs of dust (would destroy the lens in a couple of rotations if it were more thorough), and IME, dust doesn't collect around the lens.
I'm really glad its (temporarily

) worked for you LZ

, but the only method I could ever recommend to CDC3 owners in particular is stripdown and a proprietry lens cleaner... ...or better still, laser replacement (fiddly, but not hard).
