Holiday!
« on: 25 July 2008, 22:57:58 »

Well, that's it all done. All packed any ready to go early tomorrow morning on first holiday break in four years. Checked all fluid levels and put full tank of petrol in. £70! Gutted i will miss WIM open day sunday after going to the open day a while ago. Just hope there is a good turnout of fellow members. So it's on to the M1, turn cruise control on and off we go via M25, M4, M5. Been warned there are average speed cameras on M4 and M5. Any members out there confirm this?

None that I'm aware of on the M5 but watch out on the bridges on the M4 between Swindon and Bath.  :y

Enjoy your break, the weather's looking great for the weekend.  8-)

Cheers all :y. In reply to our lady friend.. i do have a sat nav (navman) which does warn you of speed cams, but just wanted a bit of "local" knowlege in case any new camera sites had appeared. I find it invaluable too sometimes as my shmbo is useless at reading maps. Tried to make me take a short cut once and nearly made me turn into a river! :o ( She thought the blue line on the map was a road! ::) Coming off M5 just before Exeter as cottage is just a couple of miles outside. Thanx again all :y

Nice part of the world here. If you like chinese food there is a good place in exmouth which is about 10 mins from exeter and on sun till thur they do an all you can eat type menu in the evening for about £12 per person and they also do a buffet sunday lunch for £9. Its really good food and i am going on sunday night for my brother's birthday. Here is a link for there address http://www.yell.com/ucs/UcsSearchAction.do?ssm=0&scrambleSeed=93678161&keywords=&companyName=bamboo&location=exmouth&M=0&x=0&y=0

But there is lots of things to see and do so you should have a great holiday.
