2.2 dti primer bulb
« on: 14 August 2016, 15:28:19 »

Hi, I want to fit a diesel primer bulb to my old bus. Looking on past posts it would look like I need one for a 10mm id pipe (pipe on car appears around 12mm o.d.) and I would be looking to put it at the front of the motor on the return to the tank (top pipe).

Does this appear to be correct.

Looking at one of these.

Any thoughts or input much appreciated.

Well changed the fuel filter and the leak off pipes, added the primer bulb to help bleed the lines and hey presto the bulb leaks like you would not believe around the bulb outlets, not from the pipe but from the bulb to the spigots!! Would have accepted it if it was a cheap Chinese one but this was from Halfrauds and a Laser one. Appears there is a bit of pressure in the return line that the bulb does not like. Luckily had a 10mm straight connector that even when just pushed in without clips doesn't leak a drop. Boy what a nasty car to bleed, still all good now.

the one that you considered getting off the net beats those laser efforts hands down
