Lock up garage
« on: 26 October 2016, 19:41:04 »

I've signed the papers tonight to rent one of these from my landords[housing association]the V70 fits with about 5" to spare,I make the V70 to be 16' long[including towbar]whether the Omega will fit remains to be seen[I may have to take the towball off it to give it more of a chance. However still quite chuffed with idea of a garage as at least it'll get me out of the worst of the weather when it comes to fixing either car,and I think £8 a week is pretty reasonable.

£8 is cheap, there a bloody fortune down here, most of the Councils have farmed them out to Re Rent Co's or anyone living within 3 miles of a Train Station seems to think they can rent them out for £10 a day upwards.  ::)

Before you know it, the garage will be so full of crap that you won't be able to get a push bike in there let alone the Omega!  ;D

How wide is the garage? as mine is worse than useless for moving around once the car is in there so i leave the bugger outside.

The Councils wont let you do that around here if its one of theres, if you get grassed up caught, they take them off you, Vehicle Storage only and it has to be yours, V5 in your name and road legal.  ::)

Best thing you can do is garage a car, have always used one for my vehicles since buying my first house in 1974 .Just wish I had a double one at this house & I would have kept my Omega but I couldn't bear to leave it out so sold it when I bought the Merc.

It's the first time in my life I've had a garage.Assuming the Omega will fit length wise it will be fairly tight as far as width goes,so there'll be no working at the side of it while it's in there, but as most of the work is under bonnet stuff etc I can cope with that for an idea.
