Mine's the same. Which makes it useless; I ignore it as I'm not going to add such a small amount of oil. Having ensured that the engine is oil-tight it doesn't need topping up between annual oil changes, when it gets a new filter and 5l of whatever 10w40 I've acquired.

Since I expect my dads Desmond does about 2 to 3k miles a year, and its just over 12 months since I did last change, I am treating the message now as a convenient reminder for me to do his annual oil change

At that low mileage, I'd be doing it every two years. Whether it needed it or not
