Gearbox selector switch
« on: 01 November 2016, 16:24:37 »

Afternoon all,

Can someone please advise me if purchasing a new selector switch is the only option for me, l have had one fitted which was from a working car only to have it playing around with flashing lights on the selector panel, or could it be something else??

cheers

Has the switch been adjusted correctly?

Sounds like a problem with the switch, I'm afraid. Have you driven through any deep water recently, as the damp can get into them. Failing that, check the adjustment, as said.

Sometimes, you can open them up and clean them. Might be worth doing this with your old one then swapping back if it is in decent condition?
