Omega clock mystery ?
« on: 03 November 2016, 23:50:58 »

Clocks went back an hour last week, but I kept forgetting could'nt be bothered to do the clock in my car.
Yesterday swimbo asked me when did I think it might be convenient, if it was'nt too much trouble, for me to put it right.
I said I would do it when we got back home dear, but as we were rather late getting back I never got around to it.
We gets in the car this morning and after a few minutes swimbo exclaimed,  Oh I see you've done the clock at last,  and when I looked the clock was telling the correct time !
I naturally took the credit for it but have spent the rest of the day wondering how the hell that could happen, as I definitely never touched it.

I was a bit disappointed that I had to adjust the clock manually on my BMW.  :(

So that's another thing to add to the ' Missing List ' along with the indicators!  ;D

Thats why I cant make out why it waited several days to correct itself, as I often have Radio 2 on.

All later Omegas (MFL on, would need to check with PFL) have RDS clock options. Not all stations broadcast it (generally only the BBC nationals).

The radio needs to be turned to one, receiving a good strong RDS signal (which also means RDS needs to be on on the radio), and it should get it within a few minutes.

On the display (TID/MID/CCRT) or System Settings (GID/CID) there is an option to disable this.

Got into the Mv6, wife said "I thought you were going to change ALL the clocks"
Turned on Radio 2 and Wife says "Oh the time's right now"
My Response ? "MV stands for Magic Vauxhall"

Oh how we laughed.
