EML
« on: 14 February 2017, 19:07:37 »

Need a bit of advice. Changed the thermostat on my 3.2, runs ok with no issues except I now have the warning light with the spanner, not flashing. Plugged in my Autel AL319 code reader and there aren't any codes stored, cleared codes but I still have the EML on. Any suggestions? Thanks.  :)

Yes the multi plug at the back is plugged in. Would the engine run if this wasn't plugged in?

There are a few connections with plenum off. Egr, tps, multiram, icv to name a few. Check them all  :y

It's also easy to create a vacuum leak, so check all the pipes and possibly the plenum to manifold seals.

A plenum or vac air leak will not bring on the spanner though, sounds like somethings not plugged in. Should generate a code though.  :-\

Thanks for your posts, found I had missed plugging in the small vacuum valve at back of the plenum, all OK now :)
