The 3rd party couriers that Amazon use under their Amazon Logistics courier are very hit and miss.  The streamed TV/film content is poor.

So it boils down to, do you regularly order from Amazon (NOT Amazon marketplace) goods under £20...   ...I don't, hence I cancelled Prime.  In fact I rarely order anything from Amazon, as they are quite expensive, and their customer service is abysmal every time I've had to use them - mostly chasing up parcels which were promised next day, but in reality often mean next week.

I'm currently part way through a one month free trial. Clarkson and the boys are entertaining but not a lot else takes my fancy.

Still waiting for items ordered 3 days ago. :-\
Was it listed as "Prime" delivery?

Indeed it was. :-\
