North Korea
« on: 03 April 2017, 13:11:53 »

Anyone understand what their leader is trying to do?!

There will be a lot of Korean casualties if they do launch a pre emptive strike on the USA especially if it has a nuclear warhead or EMP device.

After all the sanctions and rhetoric short of China stepping in what can Trump actually do? All a bit worrying but I guess removed from us in Europe.

What do you think?

Kim Yong Un might be a bit on a head case but he ain't stupid

The day he nukes anybody is the day his country gets vaporised, simple as that  ;)
Until then, the rest of the world will sit back and laugh at the daft lad  ;D

The only reason that China has anything to do with them is because they get coal and other assorted minerals from them at a stupidly cheap price and in return, nutty Kim gets about the only source of foreign currency he can get.

All bull shit, bluster and *ollocks imo.

All I can, say from what I hear , is that he is a crackpot who is playing a very dangerous game.

Forget the USA for a minute, and recognise that both China and Russia do not want this idiot taking any foolish action on their doorstep and will be the first to retaliate if, and it is a big if from what I understand, N.Korea do the unthinkable and launch a nuclear armed intercontinental missle(s). Both China and Russia are watching developments within this wayward regime, and will take the necessary action required, as and when. You give any child a chance or six, but then finally slap them down once they become a danger to themselves and everyone else, especially to the ambitions and safety of China and Russia.

No doubt others will see it differently, but I see both China and Russia are playing a power game and they do not want a rouge state upsetting the balance in their part of the World. When they were both pure communist countries it would have been totally different and they would have protected thier own from "American aggression". No more is Russia a communist state, and Chine is growing more capitalist by the day.

Overall of course you have the USA needing to protect their interests, both politically and commercially in the region/world, so I am sure will be working with both China and Russia to knock N.Korea down.

The only 'safe' ones are the impoverished ones with no nuclear ambitions. Hang on, a lot of them are exporting Islamic fundamentalism. There are no safe ones.

With your list of dangerous countries, why don't you go to each of them, visit their capitals and right outside their political centre walk round with a placard protesting about their political leaders. Shouldn't be a problem with those most dangerous of countries 1 and 2, land protest and on to the next one clocking up the air miles, but expect to have big gaps in the times between landing and leaving with your safer 3, 4 and 5 and your air miles will have probably run out, before you land back in Blighty. ;D ;D ;D

As an obvious safe Iran didn't make the list, do the same but add an insult to Mohamed to the placard and you won't need the return ticket or the air miles. ::) ::) ::)

North Korea is much weaker than South Korea economically and militarily and in such circumstances, developing nukes and making a nuisance of yourself geopolitically makes perfect sense. Putin does exactly the same, where Russia is much weaker than the West economically and militarily. Pretty much chapter 1 stuff in the 'Nasty Dictator's Handbook'.

China and to a lessor extent Russia are quite happy to tacitly support North Korea's actions to their geopolitical advantage. The US action is basically telling China to use their strong influence to keep their waywood child under control. Where Russia have their own geopolitical worries about China, economically China are much, much stronger, militarily they are rapidly improving and their are an awful lot of them compared with the Russian population. There is a long border between Russia and China and the Chinese with their massive population could 'usefully' use the sparsely populated, natural resource rich areas of Eastern Russia. Any friction between China and the US will please Trump's 'silent partner' and is expected payback where he has been 'well rewarded' financially with the latest installment allegedly paid in January 2017 for 'unofficially' helping to fill a $11.8bn hole in the 2017-18 state finances.

A waywood child making threats to his parents to set their house of fire, creates the attention seeking response he is looking for. If he actually sets it on fire then the parents and authorities responses are quite different, with the child being made to face up to his bad choices and is punished accordingly. :y :y :y All three generations of the North Korean dynasty and dictatorship know this including Kim Jong-un.

But when dictators play with fire, like this, there is always room for mistakes and errors like with MH-17, so it is a dangerous game that may have unplanned, unexpected and unfortunate consequences. :o :o :o

I did think about grouping them with Iran, but decided to concentrate on the slightly more direct route one country for his appointment with a firing squad. ??? The real bad news for M'lud: In these circumstances, by playing local Monopoly you won't pass go and get 72 virgins. ;D ;D ;D
