I suppose that's understandable, Nick, because when they recover you and your caravan, they use just the one recovery vehicle - car on platform and caravan towed behind, whereas separate destinations for car and caravan would mean two recovery vehicles. I'm not sure that even Mayday would do that.

perhaps I wasn't clear: dropping your car at a garage, and you at home is counted as separate destinations. Most recovery organisations clearly state that isn't covered, although you might be able to talk the driver into doing it. The same applies to delivering a trailer to storage and the car home, even when done with the same vehicle. The Caravan Club scheme specifically includes this(and a number of other useful caravan related services)  as part of the cover - I did several like this with the car on the truck and the caravan towed behind.
