I can't sleep before a day shift... Summat to do with an 03:45 alarm  be lucky if I am asleep before 1

Nights... No bother 15:45 is a perfectly reasonable time to arise

I very rarely sleep properly which is why i'm normally looking like death warmed up within a few hours of actually getting up most days. it's been so long now since I've had a decent sleep that if i did get a good night i'd probably die of shock when i realised it..

I'm exactly the same for some reason. 0615 alarm. 0200 I'm lying in bed looking at the ceiling. Had a good sleep last night. Went to bed at 0140, woke up at 1010.

When I had a husband that used to happen regularly, but I did sleep well afterwards!!

Sleeping loads at the moment (including Sunday afternoon ). Unusual, as I'm normally an insomniac.

I think its the painkillers I'm taking are knocking me out

Yup, I'm the same if I ever have to do an early flight, 0315 alarm, never manage to get to sleep at the 2200 allotted time  . Thankfully I only have 1 more of those to go, and that's if BA aren't on strike  . Otherwise I'll be taking the Swede to Poland via the Chunnel.

Go through spells of sleeping reasonably well, but having real problems at the moment. Saw sleepless STEMO's post last night where I went to bed feeling tired at midnight, go up where I couldn't sleep at 2:50 am and wide awake, had two cans of beer and back to bed, last time I looked at the clock was gone 4 am, woke up tired and got up at 7:50 am this morning, but did feel much better after a 30-minute nap after lunch.
