THE OLD BREATHER seals
« on: 04 July 2017, 09:11:57 »

Hi guys..new here..got a OmegaB 3.2v6 with horrendous breather issues..

Want to tackle it but need the O ring set...

Breather bridge to plenum seal 1 off required - 90467543
Breather bridge to throttle O ring 2 off required (4 off on extended plenum's) - 90500983

Can anyone here point me in the general direction please ?

I did this on mine. Vauxhall had the o rings and the seal. I got them before I started but in actual fact when I took it all apart I think the rings and seal were fine.
I'd take it apart, give it all a good blow out and examine the rings and seal. You will probably find loads of mayo in the breather bridge assembly. Put it all back together and see how it goes.
Easy job but you will need the hose clip pliers for the 4 pipes that go onto the bridge.

If you go on to take the plenum off I didn't change the seals on that either, just flipped them over.  :)

After that way you will also drain out any cleaner and crud that you might knock down into the sump :y

Ok had the plenum off at the weekend...and yuck used a ton of cleaner to blow out the pipes..it was all pretty gross...Not the easiest plenum i've ever taken off and the breather hose clips are not reusable so i used good cable ties...But it's done !
