If I change it, is it the normal filter or charcoal from Euro Car Parts?

You need the charcoal filter for your 2.6V6  :y

GM specify the charcoal filter for facelift cars, but the standard filter for pfl and mfl irrespective of climate fitted or not

HTH
Charcoal for all climate equipped Omegas, plain for the rest.

Thanks guys.

A wet / damp Pollen Filter doesn't help.

How do you check that? Where is it located?
2 min job, lift bonnet, NS on the scuttle panel, lift flap, pull out Pollen Filter.

The filter looks dirty. There is a wire going across it, how do I remove the filter? With a flat head screw driver?

Charcoal for all climate equipped Omegas, plain for the rest.

They are interchangeable but charcoal one more effective for smells etc ;)
Not quite, charcoal for all FL Omegas, plain for PFL/MFL.

No issues using more expensive charcoal in older cars, but do not use cheaper plain filter in newer cars :y.  So NOT interchangeable, universally.

Don't touch what may look like clips at the edges - they aren't they are a solid moulding.

Grab top edge of filter, and pull top edge towards you. The filter will deform, and pop out from those "clips", then lift out.

Refit is slot bottom of filter in, then bend the top edge of the filter, and tuck the top corners behind the "clips", and push the top middle in last. Filter's shape will hold in. Refit is obvious once you start :y

The filter has an airflow arrow on the top, this should point towards the back of the car.

Just fitted the new one, with the arrows pointing down?

Arrow should point in towards the dash, technically slightly upwards  ;)

Just checked, that's what I've done😀 The old one was filthy, no idea when it was last changed. Hovered out all the leave and cobwebs, the climate control should hopefully work well now, after the air con is regassed.

:o  I'm shocked anyone would say that let alone an experienced admin. :o  they must have been changing pollens filters wrongly for years ::)

they are clips and they do unclip, rotating outwards, away from the filter face.  then pull back the filter a few mm, slide it out, no need to deform it or bend the new one ::),  slide new one in locating it at the bottom, then the clips click back in, pushing the filter into place.  simple :y

looks like you learn something new every day on oof.  even if you don't agree with it ;).
