The same here....I have quite a collection of empty snail shells and very few slugs after the snail/slug pellets have taken effect and then the birds have had a feed. Got to protect my runner bean plants  :y

Years ago i caught my neighbour at Hinckley gathering up snails and lobbing them over into the next doors garden late at night. It was his mutterings that gave him away. "I hate you" . Only nature said I and he said not the snails the neighbours!
Later i found out they have homing instinct!
