The JLR scheme is outrageously good  8)

Didn't you have a Velar at one point, how did you find it?

I would have an EV as a commuter car as its 17 miles each way and we have several charging points at work. Perfect for me apart from the purchase price. which I cant afford.

Yep, me too but it'd have to be a second fourth car, another set of insurance, etc. and I'm running out of parking. ;D

.. and paying 40k for something the size of a Punto would grate a little when I got a nice XE for well under half that.

When they hit the used market I might take a punt on a dead one, and a pallet load of 18650 cells. ;D

I saw one advertised on ebay last year which was really cheap and not far from me. I got a bit excited until I read the listing and it transpired that it was cheap because someone had nicked the batteries.

On my second one, number three is on order.

I find them a very good all rounder, loads of kit, comfortable and quiet, decent mpg to, yet being the D7a platform it does go around corners (although the F-Pace does it better, sadly it has less kit).

Difficult to fault and have put about 30-40k miles on them (my two plus a few others, including the outrageous V8 version)
