My son who lives not far from San Francisco has today sent me a photo of the apartment complex where he and his family live.The entire complex is tinged Orange from the wild fires.I'm hoping that if it comes to it[if it hasn't already-I'm waiting to hear back from him now]that they can evacuate safely.

Just heard from him and so far the official advice is for them to close their windows,but be prepared to leave at short[ish]notice.

Yes Varche had a few e-mails from him today and so far they're still at home although they can see the glow from the fires in the sky,their buildings are tinged orange from the same and their cars are covered in ash falling on them.But thankfully safe at present.He's 41 but still my little boy,worrying times!
