Another monolith - this one Isle of Wight

Desperate times then  ;D

Every time I visit it feels like you have dropped into an island size retirement home  :o ::)

I think I'm right in saying that the Isle of Wight ferry is the most expensive ferry crossing in the world, £ per mile.  :o

If they can build tunnels between islands up in the tiny Faeroe Islands, surely a tunnel between the Isle of Wight and the mainland would be straight forward, and then they could liberate all those oldies!  :y

It could be one of Boris's post Covid/BREXIT 'shovel ready' projects and they could mark the entrance either side with a stainless steel monolith!  :)

It would be good practice for the tunnel from Portpatrick to NI.
