What has changed to allow the border between UK and Europe mainland to be able to re open?

Why hasn’t the UK scored a coup by gifting any stranded lorry/van driver a “ Red Cross xmas parcel”? Cost would be minimal but goodwill would be immense.

Do they provide mobile toilets for all those lorries “ parked”

The cynic in me thinks this is being stage managed as part of the Brexit negotiations. A snapshot of chaos to soften up the “ Red Wall” ( includes the ERG that will vote against  a watered down deal )

Possible, but would require some skill in planning and execution. Which has been largely absent for at least the last 4 years.

I will try ..
There's approximately 2000 trucks parked, at Manston Airfield, no Amenities, Couple Hundred on M20, no amenities,https://www.kentonline.co.uk/gravesend/news/hundreds-of-curries-delivered-roadside-to-stranded-truckers-239717/
Most European drivers carry enough food for a couple of weeks, and restock as and when,  Some have microwaves, or it's just a gas burner,  you are technically self sufficient, all you need is fresh water and Toilet/washing facilities,  Longest I've been stranded was 3 days in snow,   If there's no Toilet you go were you can, no2 under Trailer, No1 wherever..

Kent Councils, and Government have had years to plan for these incidents which happen in Kent on a regular basis, Manston was trailed 2 years ago, due to the amount of times the French kept misbehaving and stopping channel crossing,  Kent planning opposed the Manston Airfield, and the new Park currently being built is allegedly on a flood plane, and they tried to oppose that, Government overuled them..

In the past when there were long term operation Stacks on the M20 toilets were placed along the hard shoulder every half mile.

Why not this time, with Post Brexit coming up anyway, when they installed the moveable barriers? ??? ??? ::)

With the delivery of curries to delayed drivers, we get to the oven ready part of Boris's Brexit 'deal.'
Finally :y

Toilets ;D  I'd rather go under the trailer, than use a thunderbox that 20+ others have used before me, that don't get emptied, or cleaned whatsoever..

The French have done exactly what I would have expected them to do, and what I hope we would do if the tides were turned.  Not that Boris has any balls, and would just, you use his own words, bluster.

But don't let reality get in the way of a good conspiracy.

Like we should have done but didnt in Feb / March this year you mean ?  ::)
You are dithering just like Uncle Boris. Mid/Late January was the time.
