The brickwork of my last house had been painted. I tried paint strippers and grit blasting (both air and hydraulic) with no success.

Then I left it for 15 years to let nature do it's work. No change - just looked dirty.

In the end I repainted using masonry paint and sold the house.

whilst that product may work on that paint on that brick, and still requires extra mechanical cleaning  :(
it may not be effective on other types of paint or brick (fletton brick for example)
there are far too many variables to recommend a product or method , sample tests of various methods would be sensible.
people tend to paint bricks for a reason, there may be a mismatch in brick  ,a patch or repair  :-\
you can get painted or mismatched brickwork painted to look like natural brickwork but it's not cheap
or you could just paint the wall a colour you can live with  :)

A friend had some dry ice blasting done recently and that was very effective without eroding the base, not cheap though!

The moral of the story is, think very carefully before painting brickwork. Once it's there, it's there.

Peelaway does not seem a good option.

Once you 'peel it away' there is 80 square metres of ' sticky goo' to remove.

No thanks. :)

Insurance claims work on most houses.
