Well, they've effectively redacted information that they themselves released as part of an FOI. Obviously it didn't comply with the party line of viral armageddon.

It looks like the position didn't exist before October 2021.....probably part of a diversity, inclusion, and now disinformation policy, that the BBC are so fond of. :)

The thing is......what difference does it make? If you're trying to say that governments lie.....we know already. But, apart from having a rant periodically, there's very little that anyone can do, or even want to do. They make the law, we follow the law. The reasoning behind that law is not for us to challenge, except on conspiracy sites and car forums.
It does give me plenty of ammunition to wind people up for my own amusement, so that's one good thing about it.
