Just had a text from our kid

I mentioned on here last year that, due to the doctor not giving a toss being able to see him due to covid, he had terminal cancer. He's in a specialist ward in Clatterbridge hospital. The cancer has spread from his bladder to his bowels, liver, lungs and bones. Due to the latter he's fractured his shoulder and his arm is in a sling.
He tells me he's taking up kick boxing.  ;D Hope I'm like that when my time comes.

Very sorry to hear that. I lost my younger brother last year to bowel cancer that spread everywhere.

Fair play to him. It takes a strong character to keep smiling and laughing in his position.
Heard today that an old drinking buddy of mine had died. He had the greatest, driest sense of humour Ive ever come across.
Cant replace characters like that.  :(

Sorry Varche, my brother is younger than me as well. I think his anger and sense of injustice has kept him going this far.
I want to go to bed and stay asleep when I go, but it very seldom happens that way. Wife would just go to work without disturbing me, and come home to a house full of dog shit.  ;D
