Flippin' wind here is mental this morning.  Wish I hadn't dragged all the bins and furniture from the garage yesterday.

Yet still my neighbours fence is still up*, as is mine.

Had to reseat a dislodged roof tile on the garage yesterday.

*in the loose sense.

An end ridge tile has blown off my daughters house in Bicester. Luckily no one was hurt as she was just putting the little one in the car at the time. She doesn't have much luck with storms, as when she lived in Aylesbury a bolt of lightening blew a chunk of render off the house next door, and it landed on the roof of her car.  ::)

When I lived in Aylesbury, I had people land on my car, following the usual punch ups at kicking out time.  And it was often not 2 blokes fighting, but a pair of old diesel dykes...

One of the wife's colleagues posted a picture on WhatsApp of a new housing development in Oughtibridge, built to about three feet above foundations, under a foot of water. How the fûck are these developments allowed? And how are they allowed to sell them?
That picture should be in every estate agents window in Sheffield.

The Council should be made to live there... Thems the dick heads that overrule the Environment Agency and approve them >:(

There was a development near here a decade or so ago, built at the bottom of a bowl.
"it floods there" said the locals, but planning knew best.
6 months later, the water was up to the letterboxes and the whole lot got demolished again. ::)
