The latest wheeze, which I find astounding, is that they are sending 100 labour canvassers to America to campaign for Harris in the swing States. Don't they realise how this election interference  ( as described by the republicans) will play out if Donald is elected.
I really can't get my head around the lunacy of it.

It's no different to Farage, Truss and others rushing off to act as fluffers for Trump.

There have been just as many celebrity types doing the same for the other side and ultimately everyone knows that they're nothing more than talking heads.

However, actual boots on the ground is a very different matter because they can directly talk to voters. How much impact they might have is open to debate, but it is on the wrong side of a bit ambiguous.

Most people know who they're going to vote for, but there's a relatively large group of people who don't know if they will vote... And by far the largest group of these are Christian women. I doubt that 100 Labour robots can reach enough of those people to matter.

A handful of British conservatives (small c) going to the Republican congress is very different to sending 100 Labour (large L) activists to knock on doors, hand out leaflets and campaign for the Democrats in swing states.  ::)

BTW there were quite a few Labour MP's and prominent Labour members like the criminally odious Alastair Campbell at the Democrat congress as well.  :)

Imagine the hysteria if Trump had sent 100 Republican activists to campaign in marginal constituencies here during our General Election campaign a few months ago!  :o  ::)  ;D

It is different because this lot are in Government. If Trump wins the election, he may decide to have nothing to do with them because of it, which will obviously cause severe damage to UK national interests.
The most clueless Govt, I have ever seen, and thats saying something.

A lot of the cabinet seem to be youngish women who dress like they're off to Weatherspoons. There's nothing political about them, they have no experience on how government works and I really can't see how Starmer thought it would work. Put them in front of a serious political interviewer and they look totally out of their depth. How can you take the Transport Minister seriously when she has bright red hair and wears a luminous green suit, and walks around grinning like a fùckin idiot. Can you imagine these people around the table with government officials from China or America?
I despair. They really think that, now they have won the election, that's it. That was all they were interested in, not a clue what came after.

Trumps team have now filed a complaint with the electoral commission, citing foreign interference. This could come back to bite the UK very badly, even if it doesn't actually happen now.

It's almost as if they haven't grasped the fact that they are the party of government now, and are not running their local student union bar.  ::)
