sorry I meant petrol as opposed to LPG.

I just checked the wifes Honda CRV 2.4 and that gives 17 litres per 100km which is 5.91 km per litre which seems worse than mine. :-/

Yes but if the fuel consumption is quite bad then filling up becomes an inconvience. :-?

at 12 pence a litre that's something I'd be prepared to put up with!  
£70 for a tank in the UK is an inconvenience.

this may seem like a dumb question, but you aren't on US gallons setting are you? (they're smaller gallons you see)

No, the fuel is sold in litres, I did the conversion to UK gallons for comparison purposes. But I see your point

If I was paying 12p a litre I'd wear my engine out in a few months because I would be driving all over the place.  It's 108p a litre round here.
