The Chinese Virus.

Been feeling a bit fluey the last couple of days, nose streaming and coughing enough to wretch.

Rang work yesterday and the lady I spoke to suggested getting tested "as there's a lot of it about".

Woke up this morning, temperature, brain fog and no sense of smell, so figured a test was probably justified... Positive. Obviously.

Evidence sent into to work, so quietly optimistic that is gets discounted although apparently that was stopped a couple of years ago after the great reset failed...

I thought the chinky sniffle was long gone.

Not when you're travelling around in a stuffy steel tube most of the time.

Technically, I think most are aluminium or composite....

Even the aluminium ones are technically composites as they're multi layered panels, just not carbon fibre or recycled food packaging. Although the construction methods of the 787 and flying iPad are very different...

The flying iPad being carbon fibre sheets bonded to a frame, where as the 787 is a spun carbon fibre tube with a carbon fibre frame structure bonded to the inside. And actually pretty cool to see. The only cool thing about the flying iPad is the fridge.

They don't care because they hate seeing flags with little Union Jacks in the top right corner, and they'd get rid of the lot if they could. 

The irony is that they say that they have to 'decolonise', but they want to hand the Chagos Islands to a new colonial master, rather than let the Chagossian people decide.  Idiots!

At least in his statement, the Messiah actually acknowledged that El Niño actually has a significant effect on the weather here even if he doesn't understand the words.

To be clear El Niño and El Niña are Pacific weather systems and it's no surprise that on the other side of the north Pacific is the single biggest source of CO2 emissions.

The question shouldn't be how much can we cut back whilst pretending that all the Chinesium tat is zero emission because the emissions aren't here.

Instead it should be asked if we produced stuff here, would the emissions be less than producing things in China and shipping them here?

If the answer to that is yes, then why aren't we doing that?

The morons at HS2 yet again.  They'd closed every road in the area I was trying to get to, with all their diversions leading you to roads they had closed.

They really are going out of their way to piss everybody off, beyond milking the tax payer for construction, and raping thiem for ongoing subsidies, all for a useless railway that nobody wants.

Spain takes a pragmatic view. Our high speed rail bypass for local town continues at great pace. They have to blast periodically near the motorway. The whole process is very slick with minimal disruption.

The bridge on the A43 is now in its 5th year of construction.  It'll be a fairly, standard, simple structure, if ever they finish it.

Decided to try to go south today, seeing as going north is near impossible, but the morons at HS2 stopped that as well.  Diversion, with nothing else given for HGVs, was down single track roads.
