Omega b2 pedal sensor
« on: 24 August 2026, 12:17:23 »

Im curious if anyone here has had a problem with the pedal sensor getting low input and sensor 1 and 2 dont match up, its a potentiometer style sensor, but ive found thay most likely its the brushes or carbon tracks on the bord inside the sensor, im thinking potentialy swapping the entire pedal assembly with a hall effect style, its a 6 pin connector, does anyone know if its a straight bolt up thing or i can pull the pedal system from a early 2000s astra or zafira?

from memory, they shouldn't read the same, and the 2 work in opposite directions.

They seem to be very reliable as a rule

That wuld indeed be tru, and after my knowlage they are reliable, but the problem is that one sensor reads that it  expects a certant signal at the same time, but the sognal it gets from sensor 1 foes noy add up with what its reciving from sensor 2. And i dont know how to solve that  :P, and if i knew how to add pictures i wuld drop those i have like the fault codes i can read aswell as fmthose from a workshop, but that if far beyond what i understand as of now

I guess you should be able to check loom with a meter between the pedal position sensor and the ECU - might need a second set of hands, given how far apart they are.  If that reads good, then the issue likely exists either in the sensor or in the ecu.

I do know that the ecu is wrong and i have confirmed that the wire harness have a fault somwhete before the cam sensor, shuld be 5v but ia 0.1-0.15v, will swap ecu and check again, and if problem is still there i will replace some wires, but culd be posible to replace the potentiometer, since i have confirmed that the astra b has the same potentiometer, will look into if a mate has some spare parts from one of his omegas

I'd measure to looms before replacing anything

I do plan on measuring the loom, but i am kinda excited because ive been lioking since april for some place with the same type of pedal sensor because its highly likely its the part thats at fault, bit i will check the loom first indeed, better safe than sorry
