Will you wave your magic wand over my car please James? The best I've ever seen on the display of mine was 31.something mpg.  :-/

This is mostly motorway, and a small amount of mixed driving, over about 500 miles. Display shows 35.6mpg - in reality my own calculations show it to be just under 35... which I feel is still very good!

That's very good for a 3.0 litre, 150 mph ton & 3/4 car. You must have a far lighter right foot than me.

after my jaunt to kent last weekend the mids showed 33.? over 404 miles at 43mph
as Entwood said the reality is 22.7 MPG of gas
(mpg's are approx)

85lt Unleaded @110p = £93.50
85lt gas @59.9p = £50.9
85lts gas @ 49p = £40.80 ( My normal price to fill)
404miles / 30mpg =61lt = 61x 110p = £67.10
404miles / 22.7mpg = 79lts = 79x 59.9p = £47
404 miles / 22.7mpg = 79lts 79 x 49p = £38.71

so even at those prices you're still saving between £20 and £30 over 400 miles

i am doing about 1200miles a week currently and getting between 29 and 31 on the mid, calculating the LPG for the week i am getting 23.27, that is based upon 55 gallons and 1280 miles

LPG cost £148 @ 59.9   the most expensive round here
Petrol Cost £211 @ 1.10 and average price round here (based on 30MPG)

no brainer for me
