Sounds like a much better job than my mechanic thingk i'll do them my self soon as the car still smells etc still oil in some of the spark plug holes
But well done Lizzie
Well replacing the cam cover gaskets, or rather specifically the one on the passenger side engine bank, is a swine! Everything you can imagine gets in the way; pipes, wires, clips, and the top of the cam fixings themselves which try their darndest to remove the gasket you have just applied!!

Eventually I worked out a system of holding all out of the way just enough to get the cover on straight, true, with no wires trapped and the gasket still in place!! 8-) 8-) 8-)
In your case though LSG if there is still oil in ther plug wells I'm afraid to say the mechanics have failed to seat the cam cover gasket correctly!

Its realy easy when you can multi task and problem solve as well as us men
Haha! Mark, and who said I found it more difficult than any man would have done?

,

...... and it was no doubt men who were so clever in designing the miggy engine bay layout to give us all, men and women, so much pleasure when carrying out even simple maintenance precedures that on the older cars took minutes to do!!
