Renault 'Tech2'?
« on: 03 November 2008, 12:46:08 »

My wife's Laguna had a tyre pressure sensor changed a few weeks ago to fix a leak. But without Renault's equivalent of a TECH2, the car won't recognise it and instead fills the displays with annoying warning sensor fault alarms. These things are very temperamental. A technology aid too far in my view.

The rub us that Renault want £70+VAT just to re-set it. I won't pay that much. Sadly, I cannot find an independent Renault guy in Cheshire with the necessary equipment to do it. Anybody happen to know one?

Thanks guys

Mark

Nope, but do know of someone who had the same issue and "financial penalty" via Renault....unsure if some form of code reader would reset it and keep it off..

Maybe worth checking the renault forums to see if theres a resonably compliant aftermarket diagnostic machine.. :-/

I hope you do better than I did when I want to know how to get the fault codes from a Fiat. The best the Fiat forum could come up with was ....... 'take it to your local Fiat dealer'!! :-? FFS!!

It might be a long shot but try pulling the fuse and leaving it for a few mins it is either the first or second 10amp fuse from top on the right hand side of the fuse box. I know this works on some of the older models around 2002 2005.  hth
