Since noone noticed just thought I'd mention it - argghhhhhhh I'm getting old!

Had about £100 in total which I have already spent!

Happy birthday mate, wish you all the best and as some say 40's is the new 20's

Thanks - main age things are 1) I get rattier quicker, 2) Don't like the modern pop music/ rap music but then I didn't when I was 20 unless you counted HM and NWOBHM as pop.

That said there is a bit of an 80s revival at the moment and part of it is a huge upsurge of interest in NWOBHM and I have been caught up big time, just by knowing the right people and having taken pictures and videos.

Tut tut Martin. I'm 53 and I love dance/rap music. So much so, that I think I've done a couple of the speakers in me miggy ;D :(

I still like guitar based stuff, but always looking for some new types of music to listen to, I liked a track from a band called IIO and I like some Fatboy Slim

Obviously Martin, to like the kind of music I like, you have to take drugs as well. Or are you going to tell me you've stopped doing that also ;D ;D ;D

The only drug I've bothered with comes in cans with "Scrumpy Jack" or "Fosters" written on them. Never smoked, have come across cannabis but you have to smoke it and I don't smoke, but being in same room had similar effect as alcohol as well as requiring clothes to be washed.

Any form of stimulants would be a nono as even caffiene screws me up.

Apart from health I have a tendancy to get addicted to things, too many electrical things only hurts your pocket (if you pay -  just say I have aquired quite a few items for free by being in right place at right time but people have now cottoned on to Ebay and will now try selling*)

* One skipped after deciding too many knackered capacitors, one kept for spares as it don't work too well, one FOC with tuner timer.

Of the 11 vcrs I have had in my posession I was given 6 and bought 4 S/H and 1 new.

But if the same happened with drugs I would be stuffed, I either never started or had a decent scare - someone at work keeps pestering to try to get me to start betting, but I won't as I would get addicted, luckily the only time I did (10p in the pot on Grand National) mine came second when I thought it was guaranteed a win.

What was funny was that all my friends in bands I think all were moderate drinkers, very very few smokers and none AFAIK drug users.

I'll go with you on the dance music as I love it - particularly some good funky house. Me and Supermop are often testing my Omega's speakers on the way home from work - currently listening to the latest CD in the HedKandi series called Disco Kandi......top tunes! :y Can't go with you on the rap though. :-?
