It got me home and run better than it ever has.

Was certainly a weird one that, and my backside was twitching to, Daz did an amazing job, though I think he aged 10 years in the process.

Thanks Mike for your HT leads, top man.  :y PM me or text me your address and i'll send you a set.

Yes, just had an update from my mate Mike, who went along to have his breathers cleaned, cam gaskets and plug leads changed.

It appears, after a phone call to Mark, it turned out to be plug leads.

Fitted my mates plug leads, everything A OK :y

My mate didn't get his jobs done though, and now he's short of a set of plug leads.

Still got a very sick 2.5

Poor fella. :o I'll bet he doesn't go to any more get-togethers in a hurry, they'll have his HBV off next time. ;D
I hadn't thought of that.   :-/

Don't worry, I had a word with him last night, he was OK about it.

He was impressed at the knowledge that the cowboys Daz & Pete had about these cars.

I'll PM you his address shortly.

I spoke with Mike this morning on the phone and arranged to send him another set of leads, we both had a laugh at how bloody cold it was yesterday.

I am sure we can get mikes jobs sorted soon enough.

Glad the car got sorted, sorry I could not be of more assistance but was at the 'dragons den' (the mother in laws) as the brother in law was over from 'box head land' (munich)

You were a great help, if you hadn't have suggested blocking the pipe from the plenum to the servo and the V shaped pipe at the rear of the plenum the car wouldn't have run right. Funny thing was, as soon as we reconnected them the car ran as sweet as a nut :-?

Strange, it points to a big airleak somewhere, then?  :-/

It is strange because we didn't do anything to the pipes but reconnect them and everything was fine :-?
