I found it very entertaining and I loved that Datona! :-* :-* :-* :y

That particular car though was not an original 1968 product, but from 1972 judging by the number plate ::) ::).  Still lovely though :-* :y

Yes...The Daytona was  a "L"reg car Lizzie......between 1st August 1972 and 31st July 1973....I have no idea when they change plates now ......can't afford a new car anyway. :y :y :y

I can never forget that year Optimist as 1972 was when I got my first brand new company car, a Ford Escort Mk1 1.0 in lovely red. DJG 679L if I remember correctly! :-* :-* :y

On Top Gear tonight "hamster Hammond".....will be driving one of my all time favourite supercars....the iconic ......FERRARI DAYTONA.

Logging of now with dribbling anticipation. :y :y :y :y :y
i prefered the old lamborghini Muira meself

Everybody loves the Miura because of the film The Italian Job.

But I really love the looks of the almost forgotten Espada.

The Espada was a lovely looking car ,and a full 4 seater as well.

Any pictures please. :-* :-* :-*

I am a Daytona fan.  One of the Directors at work had a 72 model in Red, Awsome piece of engineering.  had the pleasure of going in it quite a few times, sadly was never allowed to drive it.  But have been a passenger in it just short of flat out. ::) ::)

I was very lucky in one sence. My Father was the transport manager for the company.  He often brought home the Roller, XJS, Daimler and many others, With it being a family firm there was quite a collection of cars, Aston Martins, Ferrari Dino, HS and HSR, Lotus Sunbeam, MGB GT V8 ::).

I part learned to drive in my Dads company Car which was a BMW 2500 and where I think my love of big auto's started off.  As I had passed my test I also borrowed one of the 1st 4wd Subaru's in the county and put it though its paces, naff as FWD but bloody awsome in 4WD.  Still hope to own a Legacy one day.
