I only said sky cause thats what we have. I gave up trying to use the wireless option 3 weeks after it was fitted! Even now the modem will reset itself 2 or 3 times a day! Which is a pain as my CCTV needs a fixed IP for me to remote view it  

I have a dynamic IP on my broadband but use No-IP.com to spoof it so I can run my website from home. There is a small monitor program which runs to talk to their site so they can monitor my IP and update the Internet if I change for any reason. Don't know if this would assist you?
