When I bought my previous Omega - a 1999 2.5 I checked the stamps in the service book and all ok and done almost bang on the intervals - done the deal and then got it home and eventually got around to calling the dealer that had stamped the service book to get a print out of each service - they had no history of the car ever being there - So being cautious I had the cambelt changed, had it fully serviced at a trusted local garage, changed all the budget tyres for Michelins and had the brake fluid changed - front discs and pads and a full GM exhuast system, Oh and had the front bumper and bonnet re-sprayed as the laquer was lifting in places - was just starting to enjoy the car and it got written off by a japanese guy pulling out in front of me in his brand new Nissan 4x4 - that was also when I found out that none of the airbags worked!
