feel like a right prat
« on: 15 December 2008, 20:53:45 »

for weeks i been searchin on the net for the location of the extra RAM slot on my laptop, the installed ram slots behind a panel on the bottom of the lappy, but i could not find the place, took keyboard off, removed all sorts, then decided tonight to look again under the back panel, but this time with my goggles on, low n behold there it was.. doh, above the other slot, so now my lappy has 2 gb ram in it.
 :) :)

Depends on OS, hardware implementation, software installed, and software running.

Mrs TheBoy's laptop is no faster with 2G than it was with 1G (only got upgraded as I had a spare 1G DDR2 sodimm knocking around...

I was trying to take my laptop apart once to get at the HDD and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to take the top off. (I had already had it apart once before  :-[)

After lots of tugging (while worrying that I would break it), I found that I was missing two screws right under my nose!  :-[ :-[  8-)

Agreed!! Typing this on my laptop that originally had Vista Business on, now running XP Home is and is far faster!  8-) It's still not amazing, but it was a cheap one.  :P
