none taken m8. I have found a bloke with 1 but it has the isuzu software on instead, he know im a vauxhall fan and and hoping to borrow it, or even buy it just to compare the units. The guy who programs the software says it is possible to do everything that the tech2 can,but needs to add it to the software, and as you can imagine thats alot.
on many of the updates what people have requested have been added.

Good luck with the saving up, as i too have been saving for a long time for tech2.

Yes i do know its a BMW, but to be honest, i know jack s**t about web design, so i used a template to get me up and running quickly. Maybe if you are good at it you would be so kind to offer your services and change it for me. Obviously i will pay you for your troubles.

Hi Chris, you could try sending supermop (my son) a PM as he's pretty good with web design and I'm sure he could help you out with your site.  :y

Yes I would like to compare one against my Tech2, only cannot justify the cost when I already have the real thing...

Anyone who has bought one fancy lending it to me for a week or 2 ;)

Update - The software is matched to the unit so is not easy to copy.

But I seem to have a problem, either the software has the wrong serial number or scanner has the wrong
serial programmed in it ???

But it did work. Read gearbox, electric seat memory & more

Even got it to work via usb to seial converter. Will post more info when I get the problem sorted.

I know the guy will be placing an order in the new year.

Software problem sorted. It works but  does not like the USB  to Serial converter
Going to try pcmcia - serial converter - ordered one from ebay from Hong Kong £13.00
If that don't work may buy a usb to serial from here www.ftdichip.com its designed in the UK
instead of the taiwan chip my one has now.

Built in the software is some 'blackbox' software that makes a log files

which shows why the program has a problem

I sent the log file to the guy he has looked at the files shows its the USB to serial giving me trouble

Quote "We  can  not  guarantee  proper  work  with  such  adapters, since our interface requires  continuous  asynchronous data exchange, which USB-COM adapters are not able to provide 100%"

It work for a while then hangs.
