mot advice

mot due friday.
do i take it in and hope for the best or not. will it fail with airbag light permantly on or not. if it fails and its going to cost more than 100 to put right im breaked as im not working. and if it does fail i wont be able to get work with no transport. catch 22 id say at the momentand i cant aford to throw money away at the moment. any ideas whats the best thing to do. ????

You're going to have to get it done at some point so I'd get it out of the way now! Airbag light shouldn't cause a fail as not part of test

It shouldn't fail MOT with Airbag light on. It's usually very easy to fix (connectors under the seat) but you need a computer to delete fault code.

im not so sure now. been out all morning, done about 30 miles altogether and when i checked the oil level it was a bit low, seems i have some mayo on top of the cap and the sides of the filler neck. losing a bit of water too but not a lot. have only drove the car a few times since xmas and it seems very smokey to me, was a slight smell of petrol too. im wondering if hg is on way out or just lots of condensation in engine from cold weather we have been having.    :'( :-/

Take the bulb out if your really worried about it rich till ya get the fault fixed...

Air bag light lit on mine,passed mot with that no problem  :y
