Heavy Duty Rear Springs?
« on: 27 January 2009, 18:16:32 »

I thought I'd just check the MOT expiry on the Mig today so I could get it booked in right at the start of the extra month beforehand to cover any unexpected failure points. I thought it was towards the end of March but it's actually Mid February. Not a major problem really except I know I need to replace the rear springs (one's broken at the usual spot!) and whilst I'm there I'll replace the S/L Shocks as one has a slight Air leak. No fluid leak luckily but may as well do it now, especially as some very kind OOF member who breaks cars has a known "Very Good" pair which I'll be getting at a good price :y :y :y :y Cheers JueV6

Anyway, back to the question in hand... Can you get Heavy Duty Rear Springs for the Saloon which aren't MV6 ones as I'd like to fit better springs without lowering. Why? Because I cart loads of heavy crap about and tow regularly. Oh, and I've got a firkin great 90L LPG tank in the boot too ::) ::) ::)

So... Do they exist?

Why not some spring assistors?
I got some for my estate, doesn't scrape its flaps (quite) so much now when loaded and pretty easy to fit.

No point in fitting spring assisters as I've got self levelers... Just wandered as HD springs tend to be a tad stiffer. Standard springs it is then! :y :y
