Senator Fuel Gauge
« on: 14 January 2007, 14:44:38 »

Went down BP Garage today, stuck 15 quids worth of go go juice in the senny.

Started it up, gauge read 6 gallons!  :o :-?

Now my maths is very bad but:

£15 @ 89.9 gives me = 16.85 litres of fuel

1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres

16.85 Divided by 4.54 = 3.7 Gallons of fuel.

Yet the gauge read 6.

Any suggestions? Dirty sensor in the tank i am thinking?

Senator and Carlton digital dahses aren't known for their accuracy Tunnie. Look on it as more of a rough guide!!

The bloke who bought my old one ran out of fuel with the computer telling him he still had 25 miles in it!

BTW Tunnie, where do you live?

You dont really now how much was in it when the gauge was showing -- , it just maybe out of calibration  :-/
