Help with infected file.
« on: 13 February 2009, 10:56:56 »

When I open Internet Explorer or Outlook Express  the AVG version 8 tells me I have an infected file. When I search for the file it cannot be found . The threat is identified as
Trojan horsePSW.banker4.APVJ
I have scanned my PC several times with AVG and Spybot but still the problem persists . Any help in removing this would be welcome.....

After any compromise on a desktop/laptop, I would always advocate a full rebuild.

Try McAfee or Norton websites - they offer free scans to show how good they are. May lead you to it.

How long have you had it, try rolling back (system restore) to an ealier time followed by a full AV and AS scan.
