Anybody notice how gay the St Bruno advert of the early seventies looks......and for that matter the "Brut" advert .............with Henry Cooper and Kevin Keegan ........flicking towels at each other in the shower.........looked like a couple of shirt lifters.

There is a bloke who stands on the corner of the field opposite our house on weekday luchtimes smoking a pipe. I think he is from one of the nearby units and on his lunchbreak. I have never seen anything else chuck out so much smoke, it is quite funny to watch.

Yes, when I started in the retail trade we sold all kind of wonderfully smelly tobacco's, with names like 'Babies Bottom', and Whiskey Flake & Shag, and many, many more.........spending time in the tobacco store room with all those fragrances was just great............oh what memories!

The cigarette called 'Passing Cloud' was my favourite though, in a gorgeous pink pack with clouds on it if I remember correctly!  We sold that very expensive cigarette mainly in our Draycott Avenue, Chelsea Branch to all the 'fab' and 'beautiful people' of those days!!
