British Gas Ad on TV
« on: 20 February 2009, 08:40:58 »

Anybody notice on the latest BG ad for supplying electricity that on the "cartoon " they use the plug of the plug/socket arrangement to connect the power to the house thus making the exposed pins of the plug live. :o
Not a good way to encourage confidence in their awareness of Electrical regulations and/or safe practices.

Reminds me of the time I was at Savoy Place, the headquarters of the then IEE, where I saw a picture frame in a corridor with a lamp over it. The wiring to the lamp was stapled round a door frame, down to the skirting board, under a door to a socket in the next room. :o

It had a sign saying "temporary installation" on it. That's all right, then. :-?
