Been given a 3l 24v carlton

Hi all well if i want it i can have a 3l 24v manal carlton for free as its rusted to hell.What i was wonding is can i fit the engine in the omega then strip the carlton off all the good parts the scrap it.

It'll fit. Omegatoy fitted its big brother to an Omega B ie a Lotus 3.6 which is based on the C30SE lump.
I think you'll get someone on here saying you'll opps the handling up though due to the extra weight of the straight 6 over the Omega B's V6  ::)  :y  :y

Buy a 3.0 Omega .... less work & you'll have a standard car.

Insurance companies aren't keen on non-standard cars. And who do you sell it to once you've had enough of it? You then need to find someone who also likes non-standard cars.  :-?

No point,iirc the engine is slightly less powerful than the 3.0v6.
Major transplant job for no benefit.

but no cambelt to worry about ever again and the s6 is far more robust!!! go for it !!!! :y the only probs you will have is the wiper linkage gets in the way and the  antirollbar mounts but thats a minor job easily solved !! :y
