Emailed a few Baronets and a Marquis as well as a medieval mystery writer -- all replied and all very friendly and helpful.

I used to get xmas cards from the Commander of the Tower of London, but they stopped after a while .... maybe I upset them !!!!!

My mum had been after a book for a while, but couldn't get it. So she emailed the author, ended up going out for lunch with her, and they chatted for hours...

Yeah --- I had a meeting on Friday, for which I had written notes .... embarrassingly, I couldn't read them either  :-[  I blame it on word processors, e-mail and computers in general ..... lack of practice in the art of actually writing with pen and ink.
