I Used a thin plastic pipette thingy to suck the oil out of the wells

I used to do that kind of thing, but I have gone off the taste of oil or petrol if I can avoid it! :D :D ;)

Use in conjunction with a syringe :y

With a syringe Pete! :o :o :o

Call yourself a mechanic! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

Saves you spitting or swallowing :D ;)

I use a 60ml syringe with about a foot of clear tube (from my old fish tank pump) on the end, works a treat :y

Yep, I use the same setup to drain the brake fluid reservoir before re-filling with fresh fluid when doing a brake fluid change.

Its worth also removing the plugs after soaking the oil up and cleaning the spark plug bores with a clean cloth. Any small amount of oil in the wells wont hurt.
