SHIPPING AN OMEGA TO THAILAND
« on: 10 February 2007, 00:50:57 »

Some of you may have seen the threads earlier this week about second hand cars in Thailand and the 397bhp omega pre-facelift at 6k. Any way as second hand cars are more expensive in Thailand as compared to here, I checked out shipping costs to Thailand based on an omega, and the cost is £625.00 plus £25.00 taxes, would take 29 days to get there from Southampton. What I am not sure about is any taxes at the other end and cost of changing plates, insurance I know about. So I think later this year I will be looking to buy an omega to ship out to Thailand, preferably a 3litre elite manual :y

I think the only problem you will have there Mick is finding a 3.0 Elite with a manual box.

I did find 2 the week before last week after searching for about 3 hrs, I posted them on a previous thread, after the challenge from Laidback.

Ive been looking for a late mini facelift 3.0 Elite estate for a while I would prefer a manual box but an auto will do then when ive found the right car I will swap the auto box for a manual and convert it to LPG.
